God bless these people who volunteer here and those that run it. Trevon is the main supervisor I believe, I am upset about my package being lost, but Trevon has been great and really seems to care and has been working on it, David as well has been great, it might seem like he doesn’t care but I would be stressed out too dealing with these folks all day. Accidents do happen. With getting my mail I’ve had a few hiccups but I understand managing the mail for a lot of people isn’t easy. I personally don’t think I would have the patience to deal with some of these crazies that come here screaming and fighting. And those who don’t appreciate anything and act entitled . Like the people who work here don’t really have to, and I know they’re under reconized and under appreciated. I wish the community that uses this facility would be a little more grateful and less demanding.
Thanks to everyone who works as saint francis.

Witnessed a security guard ( black lady & hispanisc lady who is a case worker with tattoos & hair in a bun who work to the left of your day shelter, purchasing stolen Colorado buffs hoodies t-shirts and sweatpants from a middle aged black man in a wheelchair at 10:30 am still had the price tags on them What a company you got there. Almost like the old stout street security guard they arrested for selling crack to anyone who came in 20 years ago !!!! If you buy stolen merchandise from someone it makes you a thief too.

I recently went for an interview for a peer navigator position and was hired, immediately. I quit the job I was working because they said I would start on August 5th. They didn’t actually start me until the following Monday; therefore I (a single mother, already struggling, financially) was put in a terrible financial position—immediately. My employment lasted a week. Ronnie kept giving me the creeps. He would come to the desk I was sitting at and demand that I take my bag out of my lap (as though my lap needed to be exposed) as he leaned over my shoulder to show me how to perform a task on the computer. The very first time I got to go to the homeless shelter on 20th and Curtis, I got really excited, because a homeless man came over and asked me about our program and I actually knew what to say; in the middle of it, the gal I went with came over and very rudely interrupted us. I ignored her and kept talking to the man and she demanded that we leave. When we got back to Saint Francis Center, the woman left, and Ronnie took me in the office and asked me what happened. I explained to him what happened and even showed him the sheet that I had started filling out with the homeless man. Ronnie told me that that wasn’t the story he had gotten from the woman I went with and that we would all have to have a meeting on Monday. I’m the kind of empath that trusts my gut. I quit, immediately. That place wreaks of toxicity. I’ll be surprised if I don’t end up homeless, after this. I wanted to warn everyone else out there that was thinking about applying for a job.

Here's the thing. All of these alleged resources and shelters ALL need to actually help as suggested. This place as well as pretty much every place I have been to are in love with answering NO. I should start a count of how often you're told no. In this instance I was told NO to checking for mail. It was 215pm. I had no idea as this is my first time using that service so I just got there before 3pm closing. Made to feel inadequate, after asking if a one time exception could be made, NO. No. No. Not hi, i,m Joe schmo, what's your name? I apologize however we stop allowing mail checks at whatever time. I understand you didn't know that and I'm sure your ID is highly important so I'll allow it this one time. Oh wait, that's not what happened. Just NO and unless you can prove it's here, NO. Don't work as an alleged person who cares when you don't. This is how you're treated across the board no matter where you go. Some of us are out trying to not be homeless and don't spend the day in your facility memorizing time constraints that constantly change. So one day, I hope I can return a big NO to every one who has done that to all of us during our struggles.

Very helpful place as long as your attitude and mood are good. Don't go there with a fup attitude cause you'll get NOWHERE.

St. Francis is an excellent resource for anyone living in Denver or just passing through that needs help with food, clothing, day-shelter, ID's or birth certificates, telephone calls, and many other resources. Currently their building is under renovation, so they are now located at 1075 Park Ave West inside of the Asterisk* building. It is right around the corner from the St. Francis Center. Their hours are from 7AM-3PM 7 days a week.
