My husband agrees, our visit today was wonderful. We are members of another Catholic Church and have been considering changing Churches. Today Fr Thuerauf gave a very spiritual sermon. His delivery was perfect. He could do radio, his voice is so clear and concise. We especially appreciated the lay out of the Church and the musical selection both opening and closing. It was a nice change to see a pianist and singers at the front of the church. I've missed seeing an authentic looking Virgin Mary statue and the candles which are missing in so many of the other Catholic Churches today. Also, the pews are made of wood and have regular kneeling ability, not chairs with kneeling attached. The Missal was thin and for "today" easy to hold and large print to read, it was so wonderful, not a big book all jumbled. So easy to follow the Mass. We attended the 9am Mass, I was surprised it wasn't packed to capacity. Folks should know this is a great spot to attend Mass. We will be back!

I have been coming to St Peter and Paul for around 5 years, but only recently joined as a parishioner. I wish I had joined earlier though. This parish has been so friendly and kind to my family and I. The parish staff is incredibly welcoming. The Fathers and Deacons are all very kind, welcoming and have many relatable and inspiring homilies and advice to share. I have taken the baptism class with Deacon Scott and it was a lot of fun. My partner and I went into thinking 'when will this be over we have things to do after' to being so engaged and inspired we didn't even look at our phones/watches the entire time and talked about it for weeks after! Father Thuerauf is very smart and well educated, his homilies as well as his confession thoughts and teachings are some of my favorites. I mean honestly, who else can talk about tithing or penance and you leave feeling lighter, inspired and called to act. The Deacons are also really great people - inspiring stories of their faiths and their involvement with the church. I really enjoy hearing from them and talking to them. Monsignor Emile is brand new but SO KIND and welcoming. I am so thrilled to have him at our parish and cannot wait to learn more from him. My infant twin daughters love Monsignor Emile as he blesses them and interacts with them every time he sees them. In years prior I was part of the Catholic Daughters (COVID and my recent pregnancy/newborns thwarted my involvement there) but I hope to get back into the other organizations that St Peter and Paul offer. I am so excited to see more clergymen join us also at the church. I am really excited and of course praying that our great church will become even more strong in faith and parishioners in the years to come.

I was baptized here; 50 years later, because I moved back to Colorado, I said use this church as my starting point. After five years living in Lakewood, I haven't found any reason to review any other parish.

After attending for awhile as a married person coming alone to church, I am so frustrated I am probably not returning. There is no way to get to know other parishioners. No groups or ministries to join that put you in regular contact with others. They have a prayer chain ministry and an adoration chapel, but these leave you pretty much on your own in terms of getting to know people. There was no welcome. They did send me a parishioner number so I could give them money. They made THAT super easy. My conclusion is if you don't have kids, you are screwed in terms of fellowship. After a bad experience with a woman who, it seems deliberately, recites the rosary loudly not in rhythm with everyone else, I had had it and just left. A big, major thumbs DOWN.

This church has daily masses seven days a week, no matter what the weather, they always have a mass. Love the teachings in the homilies. Very welcoming church.
