I moved from the Episcopal Church to the Anglican Church because the Anglican Church preaches the true Word of God with no deletions or additions. The congregation of St. George’s was warm and friendly from the first time I visited. I love the choirs! The sermons are rich and heartfelt. The Adult Sunday education is powerful. I love seeing the all the children! After coming twice, I joined the church and the choir. I love being a part of this church!

I have enjoyed being a part of a truly warm and caring congregation. Singing in the choir has been a wonderful experience. We sing traditional, vertically oriented anthems that enhance the worship experience. If you want to grow in Christ, understand the Anglican tradition and share in caring for one another while being current with the challenges culture presents to believers, St. George’s is the place to be.

We love the community here. You will not be able to leave the building without members greeting you. The preaching is instructive and the traditional service is just what we were looking for. The church supports many community outreach programs/efforts and we enjoy the education classes offered on Sundays.

The people of St. George's are some of the most genuine, unpretentious Christians you will ever meet. The liturgy is beautiful, scriptural, and spiritually nourishing; completely void of the usual emotional manipulation. The music is exceptional: some of the hymns have been sung by the saints throughout the centuries. The sermons are pretty good too!

I am new to Anglicanism. Although I grew up Lutheran, as a college student I drifted into the often mercurial, sermonizing, and emotionally driven evangelical church. So after a trip to Canterbury Cathedral a few years ago, I saw for the first time in years, the possibilities of what “church” could be, from its historicity, its message of collective unity through the Common Book of Prayer, and the living out of the Passion of Christ in the weekly service that is power, moving, liturgically sound, richly ornamental, and spiritually grounding. I have never been so at peace with my place in the fellowship of believers—all of which work hard at their faith, take it seriously, recognize that being judgmental (a hallmark and scourge of so many churches) is obnoxious, and that to serve and please the Lord in newness of life means life is not always entitled, comfortable, clean, neat, and guaranteed, and who love God and His word.

If you are looking for Christianity in the expanse of its true form and function, it would be worth a visit to St. George’s Anglican.
